There is a hidden sexual fantasy in all of us

Inside of all of us there is a hidden persona; a concealed personality; a side of us which others never see.

Sure, we might be outgoing, gregarious and able to talk in detail about our lives to any one we meet… (sometimes known as the “TMI” (too much information) syndrome!). We might talk with our neighbours, friends and work colleagues, and tell them all about our daily lives, our children or families, our troubles and fears, what we plan to do on our holidays or at the weekend.

But, usually we hold some things back, we don’t tell everything. It might be because of shyness or social etiquette or even fear that, if we reveal certain things, other people might think we are strange or odd or weird…

However, when we are alone, at that quiet time, maybe reading a book and our minds wander; maybe just about to go to sleep and we start thinking about the day past and the day ahead…. our minds begin to wander inordinately, and our thoughts sometimes turn to sex.

As enjoyable as sex (hopefully) is with our partners, there might be things we don’t do or ask them to do. It’s possible to have an active sex-life without an adventurous sex-life—and maybe more so with people who have been together or married for quite some time and bedroom activities may have become a little routine or stale. Maybe your partner likes straightforward sex in the so-called “missionary position”, or maybe they only focus on fulfilling their own needs and not yours, leaving you excited but not sated.

So, perhaps as some sort of compensation, you start thinking of sexual fantasies; some of these things you’d like to try but are too shy to or dare not ask your partner to indulge.

You might enjoy light bondage and like to be tied up; or enjoy being on top for a change, riding your partner’s organ and feeling it deep inside you; you might want to wear sexy lingerie, including stockings and suspenders, and let your partner slowly peel the items off your body piece by piece, building your own excitement to a crescendo; or it might be simply that you enjoy oral sex but don’t have the chance to give or receive it!

Most of these are quite mild fantasies, but there are some who have much deeper, more unusual thoughts. Yet, given that diversity in the range of human sexuality is so vast, you should not be surprised at anything that people will do or want to do when sex is concerned. And, on the same basis, there is hardly any sexual fantasy which someone, somewhere hasn’t tried!

It might be having sex in the toilets of an airplane, or doing it immersed in milk or cream or baked beans, or hanging upside down in a safety harness on the side of a mountain… or something that you have been dreaming about since you became sexually aware…
